Connect Your File Share Account

This guide provides step-by-step instructions to connect your File Share account to the mobile application using the QR code method.

By following these steps, you will be able to securely access your files directly from your mobile device.

Before you begin

Ensure you have access to your File Share account in the web so you can generate the QR code that will be used during the setup process.

Step-by-Step Guide

  1. Download the Nextcloud app from the App Store or Google Play Store.
  2. Open the app.
  3. Tap Log in.
  4. On your computer, log in to SITE Share in a web browser.
  5. In the top-right corner, click the circle icon with your initials.
  6. Select Settings.
  7. Open Security from the left-side tabs.
  8. Scroll to the App name field.
  9. Enter a name for the connection, such as My Phone.
  10. Click Create new app password.
  11. Click Show QR code for mobile apps.
  12. Return to the mobile app.
  13. Select Scan QR code.
  14. Allow camera access if prompted.
  15. Scan the QR code displayed on your desktop.

Your SITE Share account is now linked to the mobile app.
