EDR and EPP Installation Guide

This guide covers how to check EDR and EPP visibility, install agents from Cloud Portal, and reinstall the EDR agent when needed.

Introduction

VMs created on SITE community cloud are auto-provisioned with EPP and EDR agents installed by default. These agents help secure endpoints, prevent malware and exploits, and support ongoing monitoring, detection, investigation, reporting, and alerting.

Validating EDR and EPP Visibility

1. Open Cloud Portal.
2. Open Virtual Machines.
3. Review the current EDR and EPP status for the VM.

Status	Meaning
ON	The agent is running normally.
OFF	The VM is off or the agent service is off.
Not Installed	The agent has not been installed or has been removed.

Manual Installation Steps

To install EDR or EPP agents:

1. Open Virtual Machines.
2. Select the VM with limited visibility.
3. Click Not Installed for the relevant EDR or EPP status.
4. Follow the installation steps shown by Cloud Portal.
