Permission Profiles
Permission Profiles organize users and resources based on access rights, making access management easier for administrators.
Definition
Use permission profiles to group permissions and assign them to users who need a specific set of Cloud Portal access rights.
Step-by-Step Guide
Create a Permission Profile
- Open Permissions from the side menu under Settings.
- Click Create.
- Fill in the profile details.
- Click Submit.
Add Permissions to a Profile
To assign permissions to a profile, the tenant and business group must have these permissions:
- Manage Profile Permissions.
- Get Profile Permissions.
- Get Profiles.
- Edit Profile.
- Create Profile.
- Delete Profile.
- Delete User Profile.
- Assign Profile.
Then:
- Open the permission profile.
- Choose the action or read-only permissions to include.
- Assign the permissions to the required business group or business groups.
Assign a User to a Permission Profile
- Open the permissions page.
- Click the number of users assigned to the target profile.
- Add a Cloud Portal user to the permission profile.
