Managing VM Network Interfaces
Virtual machine network interfaces, also called vNICs, connect a VM to a subnet and IP address. Use the Networks tab on a VM details page to add or remove interfaces.
Network Interfaces
A VM must have at least one network interface. Additional interfaces can be added when the VM needs connectivity to another subnet or IP address.
Adding a Network Interface
- Open the VM you want to modify.
- Open the Networks tab.
- Click Add interface.
- Select the subnet.
- Select the desired IP address.
Note
If no IP addresses are available, allocate a new private IP before adding the interface.
Deleting a Network Interface
- Open the VM you want to modify.
- Open the Networks tab.
- Highlight the interface you want to remove.
- Click the delete icon.
Warning
A VM must keep at least one network interface.
