Supervisor Guide
Overview
The Supervisor reviews reports and case details for the categories they supervise. Supervisors can also activate or deactivate users in the same supervised category and must review case closure and approves it after a case manager marks a case as closed.
Users Page
The users page lists the case managers assigned to the supervisor, including their associated details and roles.
Cases List
The cases interface displays cases in the supervisor's assigned categories.
From the cases list, supervisors can:
- Review cases in supervised categories.
- Assign a case to another case manager in the same category.
- Export case details using Export Cases.
The export generates an Excel file containing all cases consolidated into a single table for tracking and reporting.
Case Details
The case details view is divided into three areas.
| Area | What it contains |
|---|---|
| Case Details | Case overview, including the whistleblower's answers. This area also provides access to settings for updating case status and modifying selected case characteristics. |
| Conversations | A conversation between the whistleblower and case manager, plus a private conversation between the case manager and supervisor. |
| Timeline | A system-generated timeline of changes that occur to the case. |
Private supervisor conversation
The whistleblower does not see the private conversation between the case manager and the supervisor.
Approving Case Closure
When a case manager marks a case as Closed, the supervisor reviews the closure and either approves or rejects it.
Four-eye principle
The supervisor closure review provides a second-person approval step for accountability.
